Our Staff

WALC only hires the best staff to ensure quality teaching. We also provide a loving,caring and nurturing group of teachers that will get the job done to educate your child. Our staff is certified and qualified. We want you to feel safe when you leave your child in our care. Each staff member is required to pass a criminal background check before holding a position within our school. All-teachers are First-Aid and CPR certified.
Tim Mcrae - Executive Director

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Tim McRae is the Executive Director of Weber Academy Learning Center.

Mr. McRae has been dedicated to child care for over 23 years. His love, knowledge and experience in what it takes to run a quality preschool is second to none. Mr. tim understands budgets, local and state regulations and the importance of clear communication both with staff and parents. With a degree in Early Childhood Development, experience in a federally funded programs and a deep concern for the welfare of children, he brings to WALC all of the qualities needed.

 

His qualifications consist in:

 

  • Development of educational programs and standards

  • Budget creation and setting of fees

  • Adherence to all local and state regulations

  • Strong business understanding

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skill

  • Oversight of all daily activities and programs

  • Staff training

 

Experience

 

  • As franchisee, ensured the facility met the parent organization's standards, policies and regulations.

  • Developed academic programs in accordance with franchise guidelines.

  • Supervised teachers and support staff.

  • Conducted tours and managed marketing.

  • Established performance goals and objectives.

  • Conducted monthly Parent Committee meetings to plan the agenda and vote on matters relating to their children.

  • Developed training and workshops for parents/guardians throughout the year.

  • Developed staff schedule to accommodate two home visits per family per year to discuss concerns and set goals.

  • Ensured all staff were trained in first aid, communicable disease recognition and awareness of possible child abuse.

  • Ensured compliance with all federal regulations.

  • Administered record keeping.

  • Developed rapport with parents.

  • Conducted tours and explained or answered procedural questions.

  • Trained and mentored teachers and staff.

  • Assisted in the hiring, training and evaluation of staff.

 

Mr. Tim owned and operated a Preschool for over 5 years in Brick,

Monique Ligon
Preschool Consultant

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. ligon is our consultant. She is a graduate of Monmouth University. Her background and experience is primarily in education, mentoring and computer skills. She has over several years of active field experience in child education, which has provided quality service and advise to our preschool. Ms. Ligon is dedicated to adding knowledge to our preschool knowledge to our teachers and staff members.

Tasheka Brewer - 
Teacher's Assistant

Mrs. Brewer is one of the Teacher's Asssistant here at WALC. She has been working with children of over 11 years. She was employeed with the Mercer Street Friends, Joseph Cappello, Step Ahead Preschool and various daycare centers throughout Trenton. Here at WALC, Mrs. Brewer assist with managing classroom that consists of 3 year old children. She provide children with learning experiences that promote their cognitive, social and emotional development. She teaches her class instruction in all areas of the curriculum. She also assist teachers with creating and implementing lesson plans.
